Just a random weekend idea. I get a bunch of postal mail every week. Health insurance statements, utility bills, etc, etc. There already is services to change to paperless billing but what about everything else? Why can’t we just have a web service where we enter our home address into and if a company needs to mail us something they see if there is a match already and a PDF version is sent to use. No sign-up required per company.
I’m sure there is someone with the time and resources out there that can make this happen. Anyone else like the idea?

Sounds like a great idea in a perfect world, but it’d end up like the problems that we have with telemarketers getting your email address and/or phone number… They make it a “required” field when you sign up for something and they make you have to take the time to “opt out”, or worse, they immediately sell your information to telemarketers. Case in point: I had to get a business license about a decade ago and they insisted that they had to have a contact phone number, so I gave them my cell number. Within ONE DAY I was getting all kinds of calls from health insurers, copy machine salesmen, sign companies, etc.
