Fusion Lifecycle Development – Top 5 Tips & Tricks

#2: Add comments… everywhere!

I can’t stress this enough. Comment everything you do thoroughly. Although this for sure means commenting your code, it also means adding helpful descriptions to workspaces, picklists, and permission groups & roles. You may think you know what something means and does today, but may not remember 3 months from now. Comments help.

Another important function of commenting your work is to date stamp and/or version items within Fusion Lifecycle. I add a header comment to all my scripts that lists the script name, description, script type, date last edited and the dependents required. This is good practice to keep track of changes and resolve mistakes in copying and pasting from your sandbox tenant to production.
