Look for the update soon on the Autodesk App Store.
Are you not yet using Swift Prints to print from Inventor? Read the reviews and maybe they will convince you that you’re currently doing printing all wrong.

I’m going to be honest, AutoCAD doesn’t excite me. It really never has. Of course I never really had the opportunity to use it for heavy duty work in my CAD career. My first job I used Anvil that was installed from a single 3.5″ floppy disc. I somehow skipped over using plain 2D AutoCAD due to what project work I was doing at the time and my next CAD application jumped right to 3D with Mechanical Desktop. Yes, MDT was built on top of AutoCAD but I never really considered it AutoCAD. Most old school AutoCAD users at the time thought I was playing video games when I started whipping out 3D equipment designs.
So with all that being said, it takes a lot to impress me or get me excited about old 2D AutoCAD. AutoCAD 2019 has actually made me excited about AutoCAD again. I may be slightly excited about it but now as a CAD systems administrator, I’m actually truly excited. Autodesk has opted to take the plethora of different versions of AutoCAD for all the different disciplines it provides solutions for an bundle them all into one version of AutoCAD. The different disciplines of AutoCAD now are provided in industry specific toolsets tailored to the users needs.
The toolsets are bundled as:
The individual toolsets are downloaded separately from your Autodesk account portal or using the Autodesk desktop app. Administrators can download the toolsets your company needs and create a tailored deployment image with the necessary included toolsets.
AutoCAD 2019 subscription is priced at $1,575/year US and also includes the AutoCAD mobile and web app.

I love the 3DConnexion Wireless CADMouse but the universal receiver has to be no more than 3 feet [92cm] away from the mouse or else you get a very jumpy mouse cursor. I’ve tried everything to correct the issue but I found that distance matters. The Bluetooth connection option is better performance but the mouse goes to sleep and you need to shake to wake it. This gets rather annoying doing this every time you stop using the mouse for awhile.
I’m hoping we’ll see a software update to fix the few glitches. Until then, the receiver will be just a few inches away from my mouse at all times. Wireless… but truly not constraint free.

Several readers have asked about the Inventor add-in I created, All Thumbs. All Thumbs allows you to set consistent background color and visual settings for file thumbnails regardless of your application settings within Inventor. Although I wouldn’t say it’s official supported by me anymore, it does seem to work well with the latest version of Inventor.
If you want to try it out for yourself, you can download it from here.
